Our Commitments

To enhance all the work that our teams carry out every day with rigor and passion, our restaurants have requested and obtained various certifications over time. We are aware that every human activity has an impact on the environment, the community and also on governance. We are committed to reducing our impact as much as possible, because we want to develop a truly sustainable restaurant, respectful of natural resources and people. Every day we strive to follow the principles of the Blue Economy, or “draw inspiration from the nature that surrounds us to take only what is necessary, operate in symbiosis with the living world, cohabit on the planet in harmony with the ecosystems that compose it” (Gunter Pauli).

Environmental impact

We operate on several levels to monitor our impact. First, by ensuring the excellence and quality of our raw materials and their traceability. To combat waste, we have implemented a technological and innovative monitoring system. We have also installed a water filtration system that allows us to completely eliminate plastic packaging. Thanks to our waste recycling program, which includes all products used in restaurants Luigia, we minimize incinerable waste. Decarbonized energy is another strong point of our sustainable strategy. In our restaurants, we install 100% “fossil free” kitchens with the goal of completing all installations by 2030 and using only electricity from renewable sources. Our farm in Tuscany is designed to develop our products, derived from sustainable and organic agriculture.

Social impact

As with the environment, our activities also have an impact on the communities with which we interact. Our employees, our customers, our neighbors and our suppliers are our priority in every activity we organize. All our employees are subject to the national collective agreement for catering and we offer them excellent working conditions accompanied by benefits, in particular for soft and sustainable mobility. We are constantly attentive to the needs of our customers and conduct unexpected investigations to guarantee impeccable hygiene conditions and impeccable service. Luigia regularly participates in volunteer and charity initiatives. We support social projects with high social impact.

Carbon Fri

Luigia Freiburg is now certified “Carbon Fri“, a label that promotes the reduction of CO2 emissions. Certified companies also support local projects through a contribution for each ton emitted.
